Afghanistan got full independence from British influence in 1919. And this was Afgan victory day. They got their victory after two times war. The first war was against the British in (1839–1842). But for some reason, they didn’t get the victory.
And they did again war against British in (1878–1880). In 1919 they got full independence from the British. And then Afghanistan observes their Independence Day every year.
On that day all school, colleges or educational institute and all government or non-government are closed. 19 August is Afghanistan national holiday. This day starts by singing their national anthem.
