Definition of Telecommunication:
The Signal Transmission to communicate Different places and the different stages is called Telecommunication.
There are two part of the Telecommunication-
(i) Tele, That means Far Off
(ii) Communication, That means To share
Telecommunication System has Three Basic Elements.
(i) A Transmitter, Who Collected Information And Migrate it into a Signal
(ii) A Transmission Medium, Who Carry The Signal And
(iii) A Receiver, Who Make The Signal into a usage-based Information
Basic Block Diagram of a Telecommunication System:
Information Source- Transmitter (Encoding Modulation Distortion)- Channel (Distortion And Noise)- Receiver (Decoding Demodulation Distortion)- Destination
Noise Figure:
The input Signal to Noise Ratio of a Network is Si/Ni and Output Division is S0/N0, Then Noise Figure-
F= (Si/Ni, At the Input)/(S0/N0, At the output)
Here,
Psi= Signal Power available at the input
Pni= Noise Power available at the input
Pso= Signal Power available in the output
Pno= Noise Power available in the output
Different Types of Telecommunication:
There are too many Telecommunication Network; Most of Them is called-
(i) Telephone Communication Network
(ii) Telegraph Communication Network
(iii) Tele printer Communication Network
(iv) Facsimile
(v) Radio Network
(vi) Television Network
(vii) Radar Communication
(viii) Microwave Network
(ix) Satellite Communication
(x) Computer Network
(xi) International Network
Partition of the Computer Network-
(i) Local Area Network (LAN)
(ii) Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
(iii) Wide Area Network (WAN)
Three Items of Modern Telephony Services-
(i) Multimedia
(ii) Multipoint
(iii) Multi rate
Channel Capacity:
The types of bits information Transferred per Second safely from a channel is called channel capacity.
Channel Capacity, R= Blog2 (1+S/N)
The ups and down relation of channel capacity related with Bandwidth.
Bandwidth:
The Different between High Frequency and Low Frequency is Transmitted from a Channel is called Bandwidth.
Bandwidth, W= fH-fL
Basic Block Diagram of Telecommunication System:
1st Step: Information Source. It Contain Information or Signal.
2nd Step: Transmitter. The Transmitter Collected Information or Signal from Information Source. After collecting information, Transmitted the Signal. Then Pass it to Channel.
3rd Step: Channel. The Channel is Called a Transmission Medium. It Carry The Signal. The Channel also contains Noise Source.
4th Step: Receiver. The Receiver Received data or Signal from Channel. And Send it To Destination.
