• To be able to understand the basic concept and purpose of digital visualization techniques.
• To be able to communicate digital ideas using visualization techniques.
• To be able to convert the output from cdr to jpg, tiff and jpg to pdf.
SHORT DESCRIPTION
Basic knowledge on digital visualization, technical issues regarding creating and managing digital files, introduction to digital techniques such as montage, panorama, 3D models using scanners, digital cameras and computers using industry standard software. Convert output from cdr to jpg, tiff and jpg to pdf.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION
PRACTICAL:
1 Prepare the plan rendering of a residence.
1.1 Create source file: given plan (residence) in dwg format.
1.2 Render the plan of the residence using vector graphics software (Corel draw/Illustrator) sowing:
(a) Furniture
(b) Soft finishing (concept & curtain)
(c) Indoors plants
(d) Lamps
(e) Floor finishes
(f) Labeling with key plans & data tables
(g) Fixtures
1.3 Make an output file of the residence in the following formats:
(a) Cdr, (b) jpeg & (c) tiff
1.4 Make a print out for submission of A4 or A3.
2 Prepare the plan rendering of an office.
2.1 Create source file given plan (a small office) in dwg format.
2.2 Render the plan of the office using vector graphics software (Corel draw/ illustrator) showing-
(a) Furniture
(b) Soft finishing (concept & curtain)
(c) Indoors plants, Lamps
(d) Floor finishes
(e) Labeling with key plans & data tables
(f) Fixture
2.3 Make an output file of the office in the following formats.
(a) Cdr, (b) jpeg & (c) tiff
2.4 Make a print out for submission on A4 or A3.
3 Perform the editing of an Image of a small Residential building.
3.1 Scan a photo using a flatbed scanner.
3.2 Edit the scanned image by –
3.2.1 Cropping
3.2.2 Sharpening
3.2.3 Selective masking
3.2.4 Filtering
3.2.5 Adding texts.
3.3 Save final image in jpeg, targa or in bmp format.
3.4 Mare a print out to submit the image by printing in A4 layout.
4 Perform the preparation and editing of digital Photographs of residential interiors & outdoors.
4.1 Take series photos of a site using a digital camera and download the image in a computer.
4.2 Create a panoramic view of the site by digitally stitch the photos sequentially.
4.3 Save the output file in jpeg format.
4.4 Relocate / copy the digital file on a CD for submission.
5 Perform the preparation and editing of digital Photographs or image of Auto CAD drawing with Photoshop.
5.1 Set the destination of an auto CAD drawing file.
5.2 Import the file in Photoshop.
5.3 Edit the scanned or imported image by –
5.3.1 Cropping
5.3.2 Sharpening
5.3.3 Selective masking
5.3.4 Filtering
5.3.5 Adding texts.
5.4 Save final image in jpeg, targa or bmp format.
5.5 Mare a print out to submit the image by printing in A4 layout.
5.6 Print the different 3D view file of Corel Draw Photoshop & 3D Max.
6 Perform the preparation of digital modeling of a residential building.
6.1 Perform the following tasks on a given 3D Model of an interior space.
6.1.1 Place appropriate furniture.
6.1.2 Assign floor, wall and ceiling materials.
6.1.3 Place artificial lights.
6.1.4 Place plants and others objects.
6.1.5 Positioning the camera.
6.2 Render the completed Model using rendering parameters available in the software such as:
6.2.1 Resolution.
6.2.2 Lighting Method (shadow map / ray trace).
6.3 Make a print out to submit the image by printing in A4 or on a CD.
7 Preparation of a presentation by any vector based software such as Corel Draw or Adobe illustrator.
7.1 Prepare a presentation (A4 size paper) of Site location and Ground floor plan with parking of a building.
7.2 Prepare a presentation (A4 size paper) of typical floor plan with Furniture Layout.
7.3 Prepare the presentation (A4 size paper) of Perspective view.
7.4 Convert the output from Vector (cdr) to raster (jpg, tiff).
7.5 Convert the output from raster (jpg, tiff) to pdf.
