How to celebrate Rosh Hashanah

It is customary to have big feasts on both nights of Rosh Hashanah and customary dishes include honey cake, brisket, tzimmes apples, and honey to symbolize the hope for a sweet new year.

Rosh Hashanah is the name for the celebration of Jewish New Year and is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish calendar. The celebration is the first of what is known as High Holidays or High Holy Days, a ten-day stretch that culminates in Rosh Hashanah.
