Practical:
1 Perform the identification of physical layout, location of stages and major components of a Black and White (B & W) receiver.
1.1 Select a B & W TV receiver with circuit diagram and required tools & materials.
1.2 Observe the physical layout.

1.4 Identify the location of major components in the physical circuit.
2 Perform the reassemble of CRT and allied parts of a B & W TV receiver.
2.1 Select a B & W TV receiver with required materials, tools and equipment.
2.2 Observe the mechanism of mounting CRT.
2.3 Dismount magnet, coil and earth straps.
2.4 Re-assemble the parts again.
2.5 Adjust the controls for the best performance.
3 Study the process of generation and addition of colors with a color bar pattern generator.
3.1 Select a color TV receiver, a color bar pattern generator and required materials.
3.2 Connect the pattern generator to the color TV receiver.
3.3 Switch on the power supply for each of the equipment.
3.4 Produce red, green and blue color on the screen.
3.5 Add the colors to produce yellow, cyan, magenta and white.
