With the rate of smartphone evolution moving so quickly there’s always something waiting in the wings. No sooner have you glimpsed the latest handset, that there’s anticipation for the next big thing. Here we look at the upcoming phones for 2023.
Apple iPhone 15 Line-Up
Apple’s new iPhone family normally launches in September and there is no reason to believe that 2023 will be anything different. The implementation of USB-C charging is one of the major changes we’re anticipating to see on Apple’s next-generation iPhones.
Recently the European Union mandated that all new phones sold in the region need to support USB-C charging by 2024. Apple said that it would comply with these rules however the company did not specify if that means we’ll see a shift to USB-C beginning in 2023. Also, it’s not confirmed if a USB-C iPhone would get a global release or if it would remain just as a European model.
Google Pixel Fold
Talks of the folding Google Pixel have been floating around since 2019 and the company still hasn’t launched one or hasn’t are even verified that there’s a release any time soon. The latest news on the device has suggested that Google isn’t happy with it and has postponed its launch. It is anticipated to be a book-style foldable just like the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Xiaomi 13 Series
Xiaomi is anticipated to soon introduce its Xiaomi 13 series, consisting of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphones in its home country China. In 2023, the devices will make their way to India, either all at once or separately.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was recently spotted on BIS, hinting that the Indian launch is imminent. The device is expected to have premium features such as a 2K E6 AMOLED display perfect for playing at Grand Rush casino online, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 120W fast charging. We expect the device to be launched in the first half of 2023 in the country.
Samsung Galaxy A54 5G
Samsung is best-known for its Galaxy S devices. However, its series of Galaxy A phones is worth giving your attention to if you’re shopping on a restricted budget. The next phone in this series is anticipated to be called the Galaxy A54 5G, follows the Galaxy A53 5G’s release last spring.
Based on the couple of leaks that have emerged so far, the Galaxy A54 5G will be a modest upgrade over the A53 5G. It’s anticipated to have a 6.4-inch screen, which is somewhat smaller than the A53’s 6.5-inch display, and a triple rear camera.
Huawei Mate X3
Having launched the outward folding Mate XS 2 already in the summer of 2022, it’s been claimed that the company will released the inward folding Mate X3 in 2023. December 2022 was slated as the timeframe to look out for, but it’s not been confirmed as yet. It’s expected to be slimmer as well as more durable than its predecessor.
