National team star pacer Rubel Hossain has been acquitted from the assault charge filed by film actress and model Naznin Akter Happy. Tanjina Islam – the judge of Tribunal – 5 of Women and children repression, has made the final order today (Wednesday).
The order was supposed to be given on Sunday but Ms Naznin Akter appeared in the court at that period of time and made a ‘Naraji’ (non – approval) appeal expressing her dissatisfaction upon the judgment procedure.
The court dismissed the appeal today and provided the final order to release Rubel from the accusation finding no proves thereupon.
Film actress Ms. Naznin Akter Happy filed a suit in Mirpur Thana in December 13, last year under the act of Women and Child Repression Act. She accused Rubel to make forcible physical relation with her with a promise of marrying.
On December 15 of that year, the court granted an anticipatory bail to Rubel but Happy said that she will withdraw the case if the national team star agreed to marry her.
