How High is a Badminton Net?
The official shuttle net height is 1.55 metres high (5 feet 1 inch) at the outside edges. It should be 1,524 metres high (5 feet) in the centre section. Two upright posts placed over the doubles sidelines support the net.

- A badminton net should always be in the centre of the court.
- The net divides the pitch into two equal halves each side.
- Stretch the net tightly (not slack) between two posts fixed at the outside edge of the court.
- Badminton net size should be five (5) feet high from the ground (approximately 1.52 metres) and hang vertically.
- The height of the shuttlecock net should divide the two halves throughout the complete width of the court.
- Painted or marked badminton court lines should be clear and visible.
- All badminton court lines should be the same colour (white as a rule).
What is a Badminton Court Size in Feet 2020?
There is the smallest area of ground space required for safe play. The court should measure at least 1,620 square feet.
The overall length of a badminton court should be 13.4 metres long (44 feet) by 6.3 metres wide (20 feet). Diagonally, the full length of the badminton ground area is 14.366 metres.

The rules and regulations of the dimensions are basically directed by BWF which is short for Badminton World Federation. BWF is a governing association in the world of the badminton sport.

- Front service line distance to the net: 6 ft 6 inch
- Rear service line distance to the back: 2 ft 6 inch
If the dimensions that are to be counted are the ones for singles, the width is reduced and the rear service line becomes the back line, so the sizes become as follows.
